- The Youth Media Alliance has tapped Children’s Media Lab co-director Kim Wilson as president of the jury for this year’s Awards of Excellence. A shortlist of nominees will be announced in March, and the program will culminate in a May 28 gala ceremony honoring the best kids programming from across Canada.
- OAK9 Entertainment has contracted licensing veterans Ann Buckingham and Maria Ancieta-Risher to develop a global licensing program spanning publishing, toys, games, apparel and location-based entertainment for its Stomp! Stomp! Rhinos! 2D-animated preschool toon.
- Blue Ant Media promotes three members of its senior leadership team into new roles. Global channels and media president Jamie Schouela is now chief operating officer; global channels and streaming EVP Carlyn Staudt replaces him and will also continue to oversee the company’s international business; and Mitch Dent goes from EVP of consumer shows, media sales and publishing to president of Canadian media.
