- Coolabi Group has signed Retail Monster and Bonkers Toys as licensing partners for its tentpole franchise Warrior Cats. Retail Monster will develop a new L&M program for the IP across North America, while Bonkers will activate the Warrior Cats brand in toy aisles worldwide as Coolabi’s master toy partner.
- TV Tokyo is placing BBC Studios’ preschool phenom Bluey on five additional networks in Japan. The blue heeler pup’s first two seasons will premiere in April on TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido and TV Kyushu, increasing the series’ coverage to more than 70% of Japanese households.
- DeAPlaneta Entertainment will manage distribution and licensing for select kids titles from The Jim Henson Company’s catalogue across Europe, including Fraggle Rock (1983), Pajanimals (2010), Dot. (2016) and Dinosaur Train (2009).
- LA’s PhatMojo has expanded its licensing portfolio with a new multi-year deal for the toy rights to popular open-world Roblox game Fisch, which has racked up more than 2.1 billion plays since its March 2024 launch. It will launch a new range of collectibles, figures, plush and surprise boxes for a North American retail launch in the fall.
- Tencent’s Riot Games has teamed up with UVS Games to develop a new League of Legends-branded trading card game with the working title Project K. UVS is best known for its UniVersus TCG that features multiple IPs (Godzilla, My Hero Academia, Spy x Family, Star Trek, Critical Role, etc.).
