- Moonbug Entertainment has inked a new deal with Dutch broadcaster Ziggo to bring its 24-hour linear net into the Netherlands. Launching there on March 4, the Moonbug Channel will feature preschool series including CoComelon, Blippi, Little Angel and Oddbods.
- Jakks Pacific’s Disguise costume business has renewed its licensing agreement with The Pokémon Company International. As part of their new multi-year deal, Disguise now has the right to manufacture and distribute Pokémon costumes in Australia, New Zealand, EMEA and select parts of LatAm, in addition to its North American domestic markets.
- With a new Peppa Pig license from Hasbro in hand, South Korea’s Aurora World is developing a range of character-based plush toys that will roll out in major North American and specialty retailers this June.
- As it works towards reviving Hasbro’s 49-year-old Stretch Armstrong action figure brand for a fall retail rollout, Basic Fun! has also partnered with several as-yet-unnamed entertainment brands that will be featured in the toy line post-launch.
- Marc Jacobs has partnered with Disney to develop a new Mickey Mouse apparel collection for kids. Set to roll out in Disney Stores and on Marc Jacobs’ e-commerce site this spring, the range includes swimsuits, t-shirts, shorts, hats and sneakers featuring prints of the iconic mouse.
