- The BBC is a new co-commissioner for Vegesaurs (pictured right) alongside ABC Australia as the CG-animated toon expands with seasons four and five now in production. Launched in 2022 by Aussie prodco Cheeky Little, Vegesaurs revolves around veggie- and fruit-shaped dinos led by a young Tricarrotops. The Beeb—which previously picked up the show for CBeebies—has noted the Vegesaurs’ strong performance metrics in the UK, including 48 million views generated on BBC iPlayer alone.
- On the heels of rolling out season two of XO, Kitty (pictured left), Netflix is stocking up on more of this YA live-action series produced by Awesomeness Studios and ACE Entertainment. The show has secured a third season renewal after it debuted to 14.2 million views last month, remaining in the streamer’s global top 10 series rankings for three weeks. XO, Kitty is a spinoff of the To All the Boys film franchise that follows high schooler Kitty Song Covey on her journey to find love.
- Preschool live-actioner Mittens & Pants has gotten the greenlight for a third season from commissioning broadcasters CBC and Sky Kids UK and Ireland. Produced by Toronto’s Windy Isle Entertainment and repped by Thunderbird Entertainment, the show tags along with a kitten-and-puppy pair of besties in the town of Kibble Corners. Due out later this year on CBC, season three will comprise 45 episodes, including special Halloween, holiday and musical eps.
- Disney Branded TV has renewed the 2D-animated series Kiff for a third season, just ahead of the show’s season-two launch slated for March 15 on Disney Channel and Disney XD. Produced by Disney TV Animation and Titmouse, Kiff is a musical comedy toon about a squirrel and a rabbit living on an island. The show has proven popular for the Mouse House, with around 11 billion minutes consumed last year on streaming and linear, according to Nielsen data.

Vegesaurs is a go for two more seasons with BBC joining as co-commissioner, while Netflix renews its YA spinoff series XO, Kitty.
