Warner Bros. Discovery is celebrating 85 years of Tom and Jerry with a year-long global campaign featuring new products, experiences and collaborations.

Since their debut in 1940, the hilarious cat and mouse have been a cornerstone of animated entertainment, and the duo’s milestone anniversary will see a range of fan-focused initiatives rolled out around the world.

This campaign has spawned a broad array of merchandising deals across the fashion, accessories, collectibles and home goods categories, as WBD’s Global Consumer Products division has partnered with brands including Converse, CASETiFY, Funko and Loungefly to release exclusive collections inspired by the beloved characters. The products will be available online and in stores throughout 2025.

Among the many CP offerings, Converse will launch a limited-edition Tom and Jerry collection, featuring five Chuck Taylor sneaker and apparel designs, as well as customizable options via Converse By You. Coming from Jada Toys is a 1:24 scale 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat with a die-cast Jerry figure, while DAC Brazil plans to roll out a new stationery collection.

Meanwhile, Funko fans will be able to grab Pop! Tom and Pop! Jerry figures online and at select retailers worldwide, while Lionel plans to release special train sets, including an 85th Anniversary Boxcar.

But the campaign also extends far beyond merchandise, to themed experiences and events. In Japan, a Tom and Jerry Diner will open for a limited time, while the touring Tom and Jerry Exhibition (with the tagline, “When you laugh, it makes me laugh, too”) will give Japanese audiences a glimpse into the duo’s legacy.

In China, a pop-up activation tied to the country’s annual “Cheese Day” will immerse visitors in Tom and Jerry-themed attractions. Also on the food tip, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is teaming up with the company’s Arabic food channel, Fatafeat, on a culinary event aimed at breaking a world record, with details yet to be released.

The celebration also includes a partnership with K-pop band BoyNextDoor, whose members made a special appearance at a Tokyo birthday event to announce the release of an anniversary song inspired by Tom and Jerry. And new animated Kawaii-style shorts—Tom and Jerry Gokkowill premiere later this year.
