Moose Toys announces first MrBeast Lab animated shorts

The 20-episode series will debut on the toyco's YouTube channels in fall and sees a team of kids fight alongside MrBeast against an interdimensional force that threatens the world.

Aussie toyco Moose Toys and YouTuber MrBeast have expanded their consumer products partnership by tapping LA-based Stoopid Buddy Stoodios to develop the first tie-in animated shorts for the MrBeast Lab toy line. 

An initial drop of 20 2D-animated shorts will launch on Moose’s YouTube network this fall, which follows a group of human characters as they team up with MrBeast to create new hybrid monsters and battle against an evil force from another dimension called The Shroud. Stoopid Buddy co-founder Matthew Senreich (Robot Chicken) will serve as executive producer, with American director and screenwriter Sam Levine (Wreck-It Ralph, DC League of Super-Pets) attached as the project’s showrunner.

Moose debuted its MrBeast Lab collection at retail shelves worldwide in June last year with dedicated SKUs of Mutators action figures and Swarms collectibles. The range is inspired by Moose’s previous Beast Lab and Magic Mixies toys, which come packaged in a chamber that kids must reveal and unlock by mixing together the included ingredients. 

The toyco’s CEO Paul Solomon says that MrBeast Lab is the most successful toy launch for the company to date, and the shorts are the natural next step to evolve the brand beyond the toy aisle. The Mutators figures were the top-selling action figure property across the US from August through December last year, according to market research firm Circana.
