- Locksmith Animation has enlisted longtime Aardman exec Robin Gladman to consult on its upcoming projects. Gladman spent 21 years at Aardman, most recently as head of acquisitions, where he led global sales for Shaun the Sheep and Wallace & Gromit while expanding the company’s YouTube and digital businesses. Since leaving in late 2024, he has launched an independent consultancy, working with myriad companies including Magic Light Pictures.
- Flying Bark Productions has appointed Karen Vermeulen (pictured) as head of development and executive producer, in a move aimed at reinforcing its commitment to globally resonant kids and family content. Vermeulen brings more than 20 years in animation and media, with previous stints at RDF Media and Walt Disney Company among other positions, to her new role overseeing creative development, talent management and financing for Flying Bark’s international slate. The Australian studio is currently producing Tales from Outer Suburbia for ABC and developing other projects, including a collaboration with Ubisoft.
- Terence Mbulaheni, former director at Spin Channel Network, has launched VIEWED Inc., a digital marketing agency specializing in monetization for kids and family entertainment content on YouTube. The new, Toronto-headquartered agency is looking to partner with producers and creators to transform content into globally recognized IP through data-driven strategies. VIEWED offers YouTube optimization, rights management and social media growth to enhance brand visibility and monetization.
