- Tubi has added RoboForce: The Animated Series (pictured) to its streaming menu. Produced by Nacelle Company and Seven Bucks Productions, this six-episode 2D toon is based on a popular collection of ’80s action figures. It will debut in April, continuing the story of hero Maxx 89, who must reassemble his team of bots to defeat Silas Duke once and for all.
- Scopely has contracted CAA Brand Management to oversee consumer products programs for its iconic party game Stumble Guys in the US, Europe and the Middle East. The agency will initially focus on apparel, housewares, back-to-school items and accessories.
- The Royal Shakespeare Company has acquired the rights to produce a stage adaptation of Roald Dahl’s 1982 children’s novel The BFG. Directed by Daniel Evans (best known for his productions of Oliver!, Flowers for Mrs. Harris and Show Boat), the play will premiere at Stratford’s Royal Shakespeare Theatre on November 25.
- SC Films has acquired distribution rights to Sunrise Animation Studios’ CG-animated family feature film Jungle Beat 2: The Past, which it will showcase at next month’s European Film Market.
