Aardman beefs up its licensing team with Susan Bolsover from Penguin Random House, and Disney+ has brought in an ex-Netflix exec to run business and legal affairs.

  • Aardman has recruited former Penguin Random House global licensing and consumer products director Susan Bolsover (pictured left) to serve as its new senior licensing manager, with a focus on growing the company’s business in Asia. She will work closely with Alison Taylor (pictured right), who has been leading the licensing team since her promotion to director of licensing and distribution last year. Over the past month, Aardman has also hired Ilona Sunderland (creative services and product development manager) and Harry Marchant (licensing and consumer products assistant).
  • Disney+ has hired Deepti Burton as VP of business and legal affairs for EMEA. Burton has spent the past six years at Netflix, most recently in a head of business and legal affairs role for UK and European studio films. In her new position at the Mouse House, she will report to EMEA execs Diego Londono (EVP of media networks and content) and Nikki Keat (chief regional counsel).
  • Joey Egger will join Screen Australia as head of games on March 2, reporting to COO Grainne Brunsdon. Egger has previously worked at Sesame Workshop and ABC Australia, but most recently, she headed up APAC games and innovation for the DEPT Agency.
