  • Jakks Pacific’s costume division Disguise, a longtime Minecraft licensee, has nabbed the exclusive global licensing rights to make and distribute costumes based on A Minecraft Movie (April 4, 2025). Produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, this live-action pic explores what happens when real-world misfits enter the world of Minecraft and then have to find a way home.

  • A new collection of F1 race cars and tracks is due out from Hot Wheels later this year. Included are 1:64 die-cast cars representing eight of the 2025 F1 teams (excluding Ferrari and Aston Martin) and two race tracks—one of which will have a play feature that replicates the real-life race cars’ ability to get an overtaking boost from their Drag Reduction System (DRS), which makes it easier for drivers to pass each other.

  • German producer/distributor Sola Media has acquired distribution rights to a CG-animated film sequel called The Super Elfkins (pictured, 2024). It follows on the heels of The ElfkinsBaking a Difference (2020), about the young elf trying to bridge the gap between her group of friends and a new clique that’s way more technologically advanced. Co-producers Akkord Film, Arx Anima and SERU Animation made the new pic for US$9.7 million.
