MGA has hired a former Spin Master GM to spearhead its business in parts of Europe, and Scotland’s Wild Child Animation brings in a new head of production.

  • MGA Entertainment has hired Dino Canuti (pictured) as SVP and MD for Italy, France, Spain and EMEA. A former Spin Master exec, Canuti worked at the toyco for more than 11 years, most recently as GM for Italy and Greece (2016 to 2023). MGA has also promoted Michelle Lilley from VP of EMEA marketing to MD for the UK & Ireland, as well as adding Poland to Michel Mertens’ remit as VP and MD for Benelux and EMEA. 

 

  • Scotland’s Wild Child Animation has hired Hannah Ferguson as its new head of production. She previously worked at Factory Create as head of production and development (2017 to 2024), with credits on shows including The Tiny Chef Show for Nickelodeon and Slumberkins for Apple TV+. At Wild Child, Ferguson is replacing Anthony Eliot-Finch, who was promoted to head of business development. 

 

  • ABC Australia chief content officer Chris Oliver-Taylor, who commissioned the live stage show Bluey’s Big Play, is leaving the pubcaster on February 28. Jennifer Collins (head of screen content) will move up to director of content and lead that division until further notice. Oliver-Taylor has been in his post for less than two years, joining in March 2023 to oversee all content platforms across screen, audio and digital.
