- Sinking Ship Entertainment has sold its tween docuseries Media Stamped (four x 11 minutes, pictured) to US Spanish-language pubcaster HITN, which will start airing the show in Q2. Media Stamped is designed to show kids how different forms of media influence their perceptions, mental health and relationships—and how to analyze that influence. It was commissioned by Telus in January 2024 and is a co-pro with Australian nonprofit group Global Citizen.
- KO Distribution will represent Echo Media’s preschool comedy reboot The Adventures of Toopy & Binoo (54 x seven minutes) in the global marketplace, and plans to shop the 2D-animated toon to buyers at Kidscreen Summit, Annecy and MIP Junior this year. Echo is expected to deliver the series in Q2 2026.
- Brazilian animation studio Coala Films has joined BAP Animation Studios and Bando à Parte to co-produce a new 2D-animated feature film called Una, which started production this week under directors David Doutel and Vasco Sá. It tells the story of a young teen fighting back against a smoke-belching lithium mine that’s threatening to destroy her village.
