- Boat Rocker has signed a deal to distribute PlayCurio’s four-season CG-animated series Peet the Forest Detective (pictured) globally (excluding Asia). This 104 x 12-minute Korean co-production with public broadcaster EBS is designed to help three- to seven-year-olds build awareness about the environment by exploring nature’s mysteries.
- Peacock has picked up DreamWorks Animation’s The Wild Robot to start streaming on January 24. Based on Peter Brown’s New York Times bestselling book, this critically acclaimed feature film has already earned more than US$324 million at the global box office since its September 2024 release. It’s already available to rent/purchase on Prime Video and Apple TV, and DreamWorks is busy developing a sequel.
- In other DreamWorks’ news, the studio has partnered with US fast-food chain Wetzel’s Pretzels to promote its upcoming film Dog Man with three new branded menu items that will be available until March 2. Dog Man, which premieres in theaters on January 31, is based on Dav Pilkey’s book series about a crime-fighting dog on a mission to stop a villainous cat from destroying his city.
