Toikido has inked a multi-year licensing agreement with Hong Kong’s Eolo Toys to develop a new range of consumer products for several of its IPs next year.
The product ranges are still being planned, but one of the first properties Eolo will translate into licensed toys is Toikido’s new Beep Boop CG-animated series with Custom Nuts and Lazy Sunday. Set in Tokyo’s Electric Quarter, the show boasts an expansive roster of Kawaii-inspired vending machine characters that have great potential in the small collectibles and plush categories, including social media addict Sprinkle, curious scientist Miao-Miao and the arcade-loving Tochi.
Other toyetic franchises in Toikido’s portfolio include its PeaKeeBoo short series for preschoolers with CAKE in London; and action-comedy series Battalor, which Toikido will showcase at Kidscreen Summit in February with co-producer Jellyfish Originals.
Eolo was founded in 1981 and is best known for its licensed outdoor toys and novelty items, including Spider-Man kites, Disney pool noodles, Avengers fidget poppers and Stitch squishy figures. It also produces original toy brands such as Chain Breakerz (animatronic puppets), Cutie Pops (plush) and Battle Cubes (collectibles).
