International racing league Formula 1 has partnered with New York-based themed entertainment developer Round Room Live to create three new immersive racing experiences for kids & families in Las Vegas.
They’ll launch as key attractions of the 39-acre Grand Prix Plaza, which is set to open its gates to the public year-round in spring 2025. But in fact, the location has already been serving as a fan hub for all of F1’s race events on the Strip, including its second Las Vegas Grand Prix race that ran earlier this week.
Round Room will create an F1 Drive e-kart experience (pictured) that incorporates parts of the Las Vegas Strip Circuit. This 517-meter track is set to be lined with neon lights to make its races more exciting and flashy, while the karts themselves will feature movable rear wings, LED steering wheel displays and engine sounds that replicate the feel of F1 vehicles.
After a thrilling race, guests can stop by the F1 X exhibit to immerse themselves more fully in the brand. This experience is split into three parts, offering an accelerated history lesson on the league’s teams and iconic races, a design lab that allows guests to test their knowledge and design their very own F1 team and car, and a 4D virtual reality race that pits the guest’s new team against the pros on the Las Vegas Strip Circuit.
The last attraction in Round Room’s pipeline is the F1 Hub, which will house exclusive merchandise, officially licensed racing gear and a fast-casual eatery. Not to be outdone, this section of the Plaza will also feature F1 simulators in which guests can compete against each other and race to victory.
