- S4C has picked up the rights to air Peyo Company’s The Smurfs (124 x 11 minutes) in Wales next year under their Welsh name Y Smyrffs. This will be the first time in 40 years that Peyo’s iconic blue characters have appeared on the linear channel.
- Angel Studios will distribute Mofac Animation’s CG-animated feature film The King of Kings globally. The movie, which is set for a pre-Easter premiere on April 11 in US theaters, adapts a Charles Dickens short story in which Dickens and his son Walter experience the story of Jesus Christ together.
- Cloudco Entertainment has granted Unisnacks a license to create the UK’s first Care Bears beverage range. Available in January, the drinks will roll out under the Kato label (a fruit-juice brand from Thailand), featuring seven different flavors each matched to a Care Bears character on the packaging.
