- Mark Thompson Productions, TG Entertainment and Liz Pichon Limited have teamed up to turn the Scholastic-published Tom Gates book series into a new UK live show. The Tom Gates EPIC Stage Show will premiere in April 2025 at the Rose Theater in Kingston-upon-Thames, followed by 45 dates across the UK. Penned by Liz Pichon, the Tom Gates books have sold more than 16.5 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 47 languages. In 2020, Sky in the UK commissioned TG Entertainment to produce the animated series The Brilliant World of Tom Gates, which now has three seasons.
- Reebok is lacing up a new deal with Paramount Pictures and SEGA for shoes (pictured) inspired by the upcoming live-action/animated film Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The sneakers will hit Reebok’s online store on December 6th, ahead of the film’s December 20th theatrical premiere. The first two Sonic the Hedgehog films collectively earned more than US$700 million at the global box office.
- Roblox game developer Supersocial has inked a deal with Innov8 Creative Academy to bring its Deddy Bears plush brand into Roblox. The game is set to launch in February 2025, and will include virtual merch for players to purchase. Deddy Bears are cute/creepy bears that are inspired by monsters, including vampires and zombies. Some of Supersocial’s previous Roblox partnerships include Pac-Man, Piñata Smashlings and the film Elf.
- Spin Master’s digital game studio Toca Boca has teamed up with Pusheen Corp—which represents 2D cartoon cat Pusheen—to bring the tubby tabby into Toca Boca’s same-name app. As part of the deal, Toca Boca will add packs into the game that include Pusheen-inspired outfits, accessories and hairstyles. This content will be available from November 26 until January 5. Toca Boca is just the latest of about 100 licensees that Pusheen Corp has partnered with.
