Disney Channel US has picked up the TV movie Miraculous World: London at the Edge of Time (pictured) to air on November 28, building on its relationship with the US$1.5-billion brand.
In the 50-minute CG-animated film, Marinette (Ladybug) has the source of her superpowers stolen, causing her to travel back in time to solve the mystery of who discovered her secret identity and took her power. Miraculous Corp produced the movie. The film picks up after season five of the series and leads into season six, which premieres in 2025.
Disney+ in the US has already acquired the movie and will start streaming it on November 29. Meanwhile, theaters in the UAE screened the film last week, as part of Miraculous Corp’s strategy to grow the brand in the Middle East.
Disney has been one of the Miraculous brand’s strongest partners. In January, it acquired seasons six and seven, along with three hour-long specials, for airing on Disney Channels worldwide followed by a Disney+ release. ZAG and Mediawan Kids & Family co-produce the Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir series, with season seven in production now.
