  • Minecraft is entering the real world through an “Adventures Made Real” partnership with Merlin Entertainments. The game’s developer, Mojang Studios, will work with the UK-based theme park operator to open Minecraft-inspired attractions and experiences globally. Merlin will invest roughly US$107 million in the first two destinations in the US and the UK, which are expected to open between 2026 and 2027.

  • French studio Millimages has appointed Fauna Entertainment as the licensing agent in Turkey for its Molang IP (pictured) under a three-year deal. Fauna will handle licensing, publishing, content and social media for Molang in the Turkish market, leveraging its experience repping other kids brands like Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and CryBabies.

  • Months after announcing a revival of the ’90s gaming franchise Backyard Sports, IP owner Playground Productions has put a new game in the pipeline. Pittsburgh-based Mega Cat Studios is developing this title, though the featured sport has not yet been revealed. As part of its broader revival efforts, Playground is also re-releasing the classic Backyard Soccer ’98 game on November 27 on Steam, following up on last month’s re-launch of Backyard Baseball ’97.
