British public broadcaster Channel 4 has commissioned Studio Crook to produce a new two-part live-action series in collaboration with Smyths Toys Superstores to make holiday shopping less stressful for UK consumers this year.
Premiering on Channel 4’s linear channel and AVOD service early next month, Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide with Josie Gibson will star the This Morning presenter as she reviews this year’s best festive products and toys. Gibson will also pair up with budget balancers, gadget gurus and celebrity guests to outline money- and time-saving techniques to help viewers get the most from their holiday gift-buying experience.
This gift guide series is just one piece of this year’s Channel 4’s holiday lineup for families. Other short series include Sounds Like It’s Christmas—the ultimate Christmas music playlist with Radio Two alumn Ken Bruce—and An Alpine Train at Christmas, which takes viewers on a picturesque ride on Switzerland’s panoramic Bernina Express train.
These new shows will be joined by reruns of the pubcaster’s iconic 2D-animated holiday classic The Snowman (1982), a tale of a boy’s Christmas Eve journey to the North Pole with his newly made snowman to meet Santa Clau
