- WildBrain and Cloudco Entertainment have signed a first batch of North American licensing partners for their 40-minute Care Bears/Strawberry Shortcake special The Care Berry Switch (pictured, working title). Dolls Kill/PSD/Cakeworth (apparel), Centric (sleepwear and accessories), Silver Buffalo (home decor), Culture Fly (collectibles) and FYE (food and beverages) are all on board to start rolling out products this year and into 2025.
- Netflix has picked up season one of Spin Master Entertainment’s PAW Patrol spinoff Rubble & Crew to stream in the US starting on December 9. Revolving around Rubble and his construction crew as they take on different projects, the show’s 26 episodes will remain available on Paramount+, and it’s also currently on Nickelodeon in the US and Netflix, Treehouse and Stack TV in Canada.
- Mexico’s TelevisaUnivision has acquired season one and two of Anima Kitchent’s preschool toon Cleo & Cuquín (78 x seven minutes) for its Channel 5 feed. The broadcaster will also serve as the IP’s licensing agent in Mexico. Based on a classic Spanish animated series called The Telerin Family from the ’60s and ’70s, Cleo & Cuquín is about a young boy who always gets into trouble, and his big sister who helps him out of it.
