BBC Studios Kids & Family has hired former CAKE and 9 Story Media Group exec Gráinne McNamara (pictured) to create new IPs and oversee part of its pipeline as an executive producer of live action and development.
McNamara and Adam Bailey, who joined the team as a development producer of animation in July, will work together on shaping BBC Studios Kids & Family’s creative direction.
McNamara has 24 years of experience in the kids industry, working most recently as a VP of live-action development and production at 9 Story (A Kind of Spark for CBBC) and as King Bert’s head of children’s and family (Malory Towers for CBBC).
While McNamara tackles live action, Bailey is tasked with expanding BBC Studios’ animated preschool offerings. He previously served as an executive producer on Best & Bester and LEGO City Adventures in his director of animation development and production role at Paramount.
