LeBron James is in talks to merge his SpringHill prodco with British unscripted studio Fulwell 73.

As reported by Bloomberg, the two companies have been discussing a potential consolidation for months, and negotiations are ongoing as they iron out terms. If a merger does go through, the combined studio would operate out of facilities in the UK and the US, and it would also be well-positioned to make acquisitions in the unscripted space.

SpringHill and Fulwell 73 are both facing increasing pressure from investors to become more efficient and reduce costs in today’s slower TV and film market conditions. Some of SpingHill’s key investors include Epic Games, Nike and RedBird Capital Partners, which valued the company at US$725 million in 2021.

SpringHill is best known for producing the live-action family feature film Space Jam: A New Legacy (Warner Bros. Discovery), docuseries Starting 5 (Netflix) and tween drama The Crossover (Disney). Meanwhile, Fulwell 73’s unscripted credits include The Kardashians, Clutch: The NBA Playoffs and Captains of the World.
