- Banijay Kids & Family Distribution has just finalized multiple sales. Hong Kong’s HK Television Entertainment and V-me Media in the US have picked up Miniheroes of the Forest, while Switzerland’s Radio Télévision Suisse has scooped up Chimera Keepers: Adventures with Incredible Creatures (pictured). Meanwhile, HK and Ireland’s RTE acquired season two of The Game Catchers. And Banijay expanded Moominvalley‘s footprint, selling season one to Hot (Israel), the first three seasons to StarTimes (Sub-Saharan Africa) and a fourth season to Czech Television (Czech Republic).
- German sales agent Sola Media has signed on to manage international sales rights to 2D/CG-animated pic Rufus—The Sea Serpent Who Couldn’t Swim, and will be shopping it around at the American Film Market in Las Vegas from November 5 to 10. Norway’s Maipo Film, Finland’s Anima Vitae and NeXtFrames in Belgium produced this adaptation of the Ruffen kids books by Norwegian author Tor Åge Bringsværd.
- Universal Products & Experiences is rolling out an interactive Gabby’s Dollhouse experience in five major retail locations in the EMEA region. Based on the DreamWorks Animation series, this “Join the Party Trail” experience is a scavenger hunt to find statues of Gabby’s besties—with prizes including cat-ear crowns, stickers and access to custom photo filters. The first hunt has already launched at Kent’s Bluewater Shopping Centre in the UK, with more scheduled to open in France, Germany and Italy later this year, followed by Spain in Q1 2025.
- Vision Films has locked down North American rights to Jurassic Pet 3, a family feature from Paris-based ACE Entertainment. The film is slated for a November 19 TVOD release on Vimeo, Vudu, Google Play and hoopla in the region, and on US cable and satellite providers. This live-action/CG-animated threequel tells the story of two kids who rescue a lost baby dino and work together to help it get back home.
