MIAM! animation’s preschool series The Tinies (pictured) is proving that big things can come in small packages by scoring the top spot as the most-screened program at MIP Junior.
This 50 x 11-minute CG-animated series centers on a group of toys who use crafting skills to solve everyday problems and help kids build confidence. France’s MIAM! is co-producing with Panique! and Lunanime (both based in Belgium) for delivery in Q3 2025. Canal+, VRT/Ketnet and RTBF commissioned the series.
This recognition is especially welcome during a particularly challenging year, “with the French animation sector not being spared from the crisis,” said Constance Roboam, head of brands and communication for MIAM! animation.
Dinomite & Lucy (Toon2Tango) and The Borrowers (Newen Studios) were the second and third most-screened shows, respectively.
Animation dominated the MIP Junior list, with only three live-action programs appearing in the top 20 (A Kind of Spark from 9 Story Media Group/Scholastic Entertainment, KO Distribution’s About Mental Health and SKOOP Media’s Hein).
MIAM!, Aardman Animations and 9 Story/Scholastic are the only companies that made the list with more than one series.
