- WildBrain signed a new deal at the end of MIP Junior yesterday to distribute Hangzhou Yinuo Animation Company’s new preschool series Hey Toma (26 x eight minutes, pictured) worldwide. Chinese streamer MangoTV has also picked up this 2D-animated comedy about four “Color Boos” on a mission to brighten up their world for its 2025 lineup.
- Tale Wind Studio’s tentpole preschool series Turbozaurs (78 x seven minutes) is stomping into the Brazilian market with TV Cultura. The studio has produced a Portuguese-language version of the CG-animated show to make it more accessible to the network’s audience, in addition to launching a dedicated Turbozaurs YouTube channel in Portuguese this week.
- Kartoon Studios and Legible Comics are teaming up to develop Stan Lee’s original superhero ensemble The Excelsiors into films, TV shows and graphic novels. Legible will kick the build off with a range of comic books featuring the team of good guys fighting back against the evil global corporations that rule the world.
- MGA Entertainment has licensed several Baby Shark songs and stories from The Pinkfong Company for its Little Tikes Story Dream Machine. An initial line of three branded cartridges, including Home Sweet Home, Family Bath Time and Shipwreck Scare, will roll out to retailers worldwide next month as part of the story projector’s holiday product lineup.
