- Roz Nowicki (pictured left) has joined Miraculous Corp as global head of consumer products, with responsibility for setting and executing licensing, gaming, promotions and live events strategies for the Miraculous brand, which boasts more than US$1.5 billion in lifetime retail sales and is gearing up to turn 10 in 2025. With more than 30 years of experience in the licensing industry, Nowicki has worked in senior roles at Disney (manager of film and TV licensing), Mattel (head of global consumer products and franchise marketing) and Peanuts Worldwide (EVP).
- BBC Studios has expanded Janet Brown‘s remit as part of a strategic move to establish a more unified global content sales division. Still based in New York, Brown will start overseeing a worldwide team in November as president of global content sales. She previously focused on distribution in North America and LatAm. BBCS is also looking to recruit a new EVP of global content sales stationed in London.
- Former Mondo TV Studios CEO Maria Bonaria Fois (pictured right) has joined India’s Digitoonz to head up its brand-new office in Madrid. As president of Digitoonz Media & Entertainment Spain, Bonaria Fois is tasked with growing the company’s European presence with a focus on setting up co-productions, developing original IPs and expanding its distribution catalogue. Digitoonz—which already operates in New Delhi, Kolkata and LA—is looking to capitalize on Spain’s opportunities as a thriving animation hub with this expansion.
- Leena Lele Dutta is stepping down from her role as head of business at Sony Pictures Networks India, ending an eight-year tenure that saw her oversee its Sony YAY! channel since launch. Former Zee Entertainment and Star India exec Ambesh Tiwari has been tapped to succeed Dutta, who will remain on board until the end of the year to support the leadership transition.
