- Ahead of MIPCOM, Sony Pictures Television’s kids division has sold chapter one (12 x 22 minutes) of its flagship CG-animated preschool series The Creature Cases (pictured) to TV Azteca (Mexico), TV Cultura (Brazil), HOP (Isreal), TF1 (France) and JEI TV (Korea).
- Representing Side9’s anime spy series Codename X (26 x 13 minutes) in all global territories other than Singapore, China and Korea, UK-based producer/distributor The Media Pioneers has developed and sold an English-language version to linear broadcasters Junior Channel (Israel), MBC (MENA), Česká Televize (Czech Republic) and SVOD Lingopie (Europe).
- Toybox Labs has renewed an expanded licensing agreement with Paramount, giving it access to iconic sci-fi franchise Star Trek for its Toybox 3D printer. New prints for toy phasers, communicators and Starfleet badges rolled out in time for Star Trek Day. Toybox also produces licensed 3D prints of SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures.
- Winx Club creator Rainbow has signed a multi-year agreement with The Cybersmile Foundation to tackle cyberbullying and online abuse in a new UK campaign. As part of the deal, Rainbow will create several Winx-branded mental health resources and interactive modules promoting kindness and friendship for the IP’s tween audience. The partnership will also extend to consumer products, with Teemill developing a limited-edition Winx Club capsule collection that will roll out later this year.
