- BBC Studios has signed a deal with TV Tokyo to run Bluey in its Eeny Meeny Miny Moe programming block beginning on October 26. The Beeb is looking to follow this up with a consumer products launch in the region, and global master toy licensee Moose Toys is preparing to begin shipping products there in 2025.
- Vision Plus Entertainment has acquired exclusive Malaysian rights to CG-animated preschool series Super BOOMi (pictured). Vision will sell the show to local broadcasters and manage its L&M program in the region. Produced by China’s Up Studios, Super BOOMi is into its eighth season, which started airing this summer on Chinese broadcasters CCTV-14 and Hunan TV. The full series became available on Youku in May.
- Kids audio streaming service Pinna is expanding its catalogue with three podcast titles from ABC Australia. The package includes Dino Dome (14-minute eps), an educational series about prehistoric predators; an “improv” series called Story Salad (five-minute eps); and Soundwalks (seven-minute eps), featuring guided relaxation for kids and Australian nature sounds.
