- Spin Master has signed several new broadcast and licensing deals for its preschool series Vida the Vet (pictured, 52 x 11 minutes). ABC (Australia), Cartoonito (Australia and New Zealand), RTÉ (Ireland) and RTVE Clan (Spain) have acquired the toon about a 10-year-old vet who takes care of woodland creatures. And in consumer products news, licensing agencies WildBrain CPLG (UK and Europe), Mediogen (Israel) and Redibra (Brazil) will represent the brand, and Hachette has come on board as a global publishing partner, with initial book releases planned in the UK and France next fall.
- Build-A-Bear Workshop is welcoming Bluey into its stores and online shop for the first time, thanks to a new licensing deal with BBC Studios. Starting today, customers will be able to purchase and build their own Bluey character plush toys.
- WildBrain CPLG and Amazon MGM Studios Consumer Products have scared up some new licensing deals for the Wednesday live-action series. Partners joining the Addams Family spinoff’s CP program include Cerealitalia (confectionery) and Bauli (Easter eggs). And Benetton is rolling out apparel worldwide starting this fall.
