Toronto-based Guru Studio (PAW Patrol, True and the Rainbow Kingdom) has hired Laura Dundas as VP of production to oversee its content pipeline.

Dundas is coming off a three-year stint as head of animation production in North America for ReDefine (part of DNEG), where she worked on projects such as Saving Bikini Bottom for Nickelodeon. Prior to that, she was a line producer at Spin Master on PAW Patrol: The Movie and Mighty Express; and a producer at Brown Bag Films on three seasons of Nature Cat.

Her experience with 2D and CG animation and managing international co-productions makes Dundas a strong fit for the team, says Frank Falcone, Guru’s president and executive creative director. She’s joining the studio at a busy time, with Where’s Spot? in development,  Charlotte’s Web and new seasons of PAW Patrol all in production. Dundas is at Ottawa International Animation Film Festival this week and will be heading to MIPJunior/MIPCOM next month.
