Software developer tinyBUILD Games has picked London’s bRAND-WARD to represent the licensing interests of its flagship Hello Neighbor video game franchise in the UK and Ireland.
Rated E and targeting a 10-and-up crowd, the first Hello Neighbor game launched in 2017, playing out a scenario in which a kid moves into a new hood and witnesses strange paranormal activity in the house across the street. The goal of the game is to break in and uncover the weird neighbor’s dark secrets without getting caught.
bRAND-WARD founder and director Jean-Philippe Randisi will spearhead this regional licensing build with support from sales consultants Maggy Harris (BlueSkye Licensing) and Kirsty Guthrie (KJG Ltd). His game plan is to initially focus on toys, services and retail experiences that speak to the game’s core audience of kids and teens.
Hello Neighbor has already established a firm foothold in the UK, where close to 400,000 users play its single- and multi-player games each month. The IP has also had some early success at retail, with publishing partner Scholastic selling more than five million Hello Neighbor books and graphic novels worldwide since 2018.
