- Mondo TV Group and Toon2Tango have sold the Italian pay-TV rights to their 2D-animated adventure series Monster Loving Maniacs (52 x 11 minutes, pictured) to Paramount Global Italia. Paramount will broadcast the toon later this year on its Italian Nickelodeon channel (available through Sky), with the option to also run it on its free-to-air Super! channel. Several European broadcasters are gearing up to premiere Monster Loving Maniacs in time for Halloween, including Canal+ (France), Ketnet (Belgium), RTL Klub (Hungary) and TV3 (Latvia).
- Ahead of Brand Licensing Europe in London next week, Microsoft has inked several new licensing deals for its iconic survival game Minecraft. Joining the IP’s European consumer products program are PMI Kids’ World (novelty toys), OTL (headphones and speakers), Toytopic (plush), Millmead (optical products) and Pyramid (wall art).
- Rocket Licensing has signed three new partners to develop consumer products for Mercis’ flagship brand Miffy in the UK. Apparel manufacturer Blade & Rose will roll out a new Miffy clothing collection for kids and adults in October, with additional launches planned for next February and July. Meanwhile, Dreamtex is working on a new set of branded duvet covers and cushions for spring 2025, and greeting card company Woodmansterne will launch a range of Miffy gift wrap sets in the new year.
- Spin Master has expanded an existing agreement with WildBrain CPLG to include global representation of its 2D-animated preschool series Vida the Vet (excluding France, Australia and New Zealand). The licensing agency will launch a broad consumer products program in Europe next year, and then expand into other territories throughout 2026. WildBrain has also signed on to develop new brand partnerships for toy brands Tech Deck and Rubik’s in Europe, MENA and APAC.
