Bluey joins the Beanie Baby fold in time for the holidays, Carmen Sandiego is getting a new game, and NHL player Zach Hyman's Bubblegum Kids scores some sweet licensing partners.

  • Blueymania meets the Beanie Baby craze in a new licensing deal between BBC Studios and Ty. The plush manufacturer is gearing up to launch a Bluey Beanie Baby collection in the US, Canada, LatAm, the UK and Iberia this December, followed by Australia and New Zealand in 2025. 

 

  • Bubblegum Kids, a new confectionery brand launched by NHL player Zach Hyman, has signed nine new licensing deals brokered by The Licensing Shop. Bubblegum will make assorted gum flavors in branded packaging tied to IPs belonging to Popeye and Archie (King Features), Care Bears (Cloudo), Slush Puppies (ICEE), The Berenstain Bears (Random House Children’s Books), Max and Ruby (Nelvana) and Arthur (PBS KIDS). Products will roll out monthly in the US and Canada until the end of 2026. 

 

  • HarperCollins Productions has teamed up with Paris-based video game developer Gameloft to create Carmen Sandiego (pictured), a new puzzle game that’s due out on Netflix, PCs and consoles in Q1 2025. Netflix and HarperCollins are going all in on the franchise. They’re currently developing the first-ever Carmen Sandiego live-action film, and in 2019, Netflix premiered HarperCollins Productions’ Carmen Sandiego animated series
