Looking to broaden its business footprint, Snipple Animation has installed Mike Hegarty (pictured) as head of international partnerships.

A seasoned sales exec, Hegarty is coming off of six years at Toronto’s House of Cool, where he served as head of sales and partnerships until June. Before that, he did a one-year stint at Montreal’s Toon Boom Animation as a North American sales partner.

Based in Ontario, Hegarty officially joined Snipple last week and is reporting to CEO Kaine Patel. He’s responsible for securing strategic partnerships with more studios, streamers, producers and directors.

Hegarty’s remit will help drive a next phase of growth for the Philippines/UK-based company, which is now offering a full suite of services including creative development and pre/post-production. Snipple is also open to CG animation work and interested in exploring co-productions with international studios.

The company has operated a service studio in Manila since 2011, working on shows such as Phineas and Ferb for Disney and Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? for Warner Bros. More recently, Snipple launched an originals division in the UK three years ago that has churned out toons like The Singalings (which was picked up by Sky Kids in February 2023) and The Woohoos! for Milkshake! last year.
