Blippi’s 10th birthday bash continues to grow, with new partners Formula 1, Caterpillar and actor/entrepreneur Amanda Seyfried joining the party.
Seyfried, an Emmy winner (The Dropout) and Oscar nominee (Mank), is collaborating with the Moonbug Entertainment preschool franchise on a new music video (pictured) that reinvents Blippi’s hit song “Excavator” as a Broadway bop during an excavator-themed play date. The video will launch later this year on Blippi’s YouTube channel.
Blippi is also partnering on Seyfried’ latest project, Make It Cute—a children’s sustainable play decor brand. Seyfreid and her best friends Anne Hoehn and Maureen North co-founded the company in 2023, and recently launched a line of indoor, sustainably made playhouses. Blippi will be promoting the line with a wave of new social content.
Additionally, construction equipment company Caterpillar is digging into Blippi’s passion for excavators and machinery in a deal that will incorporate the brand into a storyline in the upcoming vehicle-centric series Go Go Blippi Show.
In the lead-up to Go Go Blippi’s November launch, one of four new 15-minute Blippi episodes will feature Caterpillar in its narrative. In “Blippi’s Biggest Ball Pit Challenge,” the YouTube star and his buddy Meekah enlist the help of real Caterpillar excavators to make a giant pit for half a million foam balls. That special will drop on Blippi’s YouTube channel on August 24, to be followed by “Blippi and Meekah’s Under the Sea Foam Party” (August 27), “Blippi’s Colorful Dino Dance Party” (August 29) and “Blippi’s Candy Escape Challenge” (August 31).
Formula 1 is also steering into the Blippi-verse and will be featured in two episodes of Go Go Blippi Show. The motorsports brand is aiming to attract a younger audience to its racing league while also appealing to parents already familiar with F1.
Based on fan reactions, this partnership may lead to more long-term projects with F1, according to Blippi general manager Katelynn Heil.
Other previously announced partners tied to Blippi’s 10th anniversary include Spin Master, Build-A-Bear, Tonies, NASA, Wimbledon and Monster Jam.
Acquired by Candle Media-owned Moonbug in 2020 (along with YouTube phenom CoComelon), Blippi generates more than 300 million music streams annually, and the series accumulated 230 million global watch hours on Netflix in 2023, according to the streamer’s public engagement report.
