The LEGO Group and board game publisher Asmodee have inked a multi-year partnership to manufacture and distribute new LEGO board games for kids and families.

As part of their agreement, the companies have also launched a brand-new studio called Dotted Games that will develop all of the tabletop titles stemming from this partnership. Based in Denmark, Dotted is already hard at work on a LEGO party game for families called Brick Like This!

Today’s news comes just seven months after LEGO and Asmodee announced that they were putting their first joint-venture board game into development. Monkey Palace (pictured) is on track to roll out at retail in October, and it will also be available for purchase at Germany’s Essen Spiel board game trade fair in the fall.

Its players work together to construct a jungle-themed palace out of LEGO bricks, all while competing for valuable bananas and points by building staircases and perches for a mischievous monkey.
