- ZAG and Mediawan’s Miraculous Corp is partnering with San Jose-based software developer Nex to make a new game for the company’s Nex Playground home console. Miraculous Ladybug: Paris Dash will launch later this fall in the US and will see Ladybug racing through Paris to defeat some of her greatest rivals. It features motion-activated gameplay, so kids ages five and up can use their whole bodies to jump across rooftops, dash through alleyways and navigate tough obstacles.
- Apple TV+ has ordered a second season of Camp Snoopy from series producers WildBrain and Peanuts. The announcement comes following the June launch of season one (13 x 22 minutes), in which Snoopy and his troop of Beagle Scouts sets off to explore the great outdoors with Charlie Brown and friends.
- Spin Master has inked a new licensing deal with Danish publisher Story House Egmont, which will produce a new magazine based on the toyco’s Unicorn Academy franchise for the UK market. Launching in October, the monthly publication is aimed at young girls ages five to eight. Each issue will also come bundled with a Unicorn Academy gift that ties into its theme so readers can continue their adventures off the page.
- Smart TV manufacturer TCL has collaborated with Banijay Rights to launch a new Mr Bean: The Animated Series FAST channel. The company’s TCL Channel will host the first three seasons of the iconic 2D-animated comedy series (130 x 11 minutes), which is now available in more than 24 million TCL TV users across North America, LatAm and Europe. A fourth season of the toon (52 x 11 minutes) was commissioned by Banijay and Warner Bros. Discovery in January to launch in Europe next year on Cartoonito and Max.
