  • Based in California, The Nacelle Company has inked its first retail deal with Walmart to stock a wide range of its nostalgic toy brands. SKUs include rebooted RoboForce, Biker Mice From Mars, Sectaurs and Great Garloo action figures, which will roll out to 2,000 superstores across the US in October. Nacelle CEO Brian Volk-Weiss acquired the rights to the brands for an undisclosed amount in 2021, and is currently co-developing a RoboForce animated series with Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions banner.

  • Veit Helmer’s distribution partners Farbfilm (Germany), Einhorn Film (Austria) and Loco Films Paris (international sales) have sold his latest family feature film Akiko, The Flying Monkey into more than 40 countries worldwide. The hybrid CG-animated/live-action movie that stars a young monkey who escapes from the zoo and reunites with his family will premiere first at the Locarno Festival in Switzerland next month. It also has showings lined up later this year in Egypt, Afghanistan, Iraq, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia and Belarus.
