Kidscreen Awards 2025 is open for entries

The submission window opened today for Kidscreen's 16th annual awards program honoring outstanding work in children's television and digital media.

Paying tribute to the year’s finest work in children’s television and digital media, the 16th annual Kidscreen Awards program is officially accepting entries.

Winners will be announced and celebrated at a prestigious awards ceremony held during Kidscreen Summit 2025 (February 9-12, San Diego), the year’s largest gathering of the global kids entertainment industry. 

Beginning today, programming entries are welcome in the following categories for projects targeting preschoolers (zero to five), kids (six to 10) and tweens/teens (11 to 15):

Best New Series
Best Animated Series
Best Mixed-Media Series
Best Live-Action Series
Best One-Off, Special or TV Movie
Best Holiday or Special Episode
Best Podcast
Best Inclusivity
Best in Class

This year’s broadcasting categories are:

Channel of the Year
Best On-Air Host or Hosting Team
Best Kids-Only Streaming Service

And we’ll also celebrate the industry’s best digital media products and platforms for preschoolers (zero to five) and kids (six and up) in these categories:

Best Alternative Game
Best Game App—Branded
Best Game App—Original
Best Learning App—Branded
Best Learning App—Original
Best Web/App Series—Branded
Best Web/App Series—Original
Best Website
Best YouTube Channel

The deadline to enter is Friday, September 13. Entry fees are US$400 until August 9, and US$500 after this early-bird deadline. Additional entry into the “Best in Class” category requires an extra fee of US$100. Detailed information on eligibility, judging and entering can be found at awards.kidscreen.com.

Ray Aboud, Mercedes Gaztambide and Creo Walters (stars of CBC Street Cents) hosted last year’s Kidscreen Awards ceremony, where Disney commanded the field with a total of 20 wins. Disney Channel’s comic-book adaptation Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and Disney+ series The Muppets Mayhem took home six trophies combined, while Netflix scored five wins, including two for its live-action adaptation of anime hit One Piece.
