- Thunderbird Distribution has closed new sales for three titles in its catalogue. TVOKids and Knowledge Network in Canada have both picked up season two of Molly of Denali (23 x 30 minutes, plus a 44-minute special and 20 x three-minute shorts), produced by GBH and Atomic Cartoons. And going to PCCW Media (Hong Kong) and UYoung/Ukids (China) is Atomic’s Rocket Saves the Day, a 45-minute preschool special about a dog who inspires a town to start reading. Lastly, Netflix has renewed its US license to Thunderbird’s live-action YA comedy Some Assembly Required (57 x 30 minutes).
- Outright Games has teamed up with Paramount Game Studios to create Nick Jr. Party Adventure (pictured), which features many of Nickelodeon’s biggest preschool franchises. The puzzle/platform game will bring together characters and locations from series including PAW Patrol, Dora, Blue’s Clues & You!, Blaze and the Monster Machines and Bubble Guppies when it launches for Xbox/PlayStation consoles and PC on October 11.
- Nigerian broadcaster What Media Group has renewed family comedy series Kids Say the Darndest Things for a third season. Paramount Global Content Distribution licenses the concept’s format rights, and Mansa Studios produces the African series, in which four- to 11-year-olds share their funny and unfiltered thoughts on all manner of topics. In production now, the new season will feature kids from across Africa for the first time.
