- Canadian telecom giant Rogers Communications has inked a new deal with Disney to roll out the AVOD tier of Disney+ to its customers at no additional cost. The agreement kicks off today, adding the full catalogue of Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars films and TV series to eligible Rogers Ignite TV packages.
- Hasbro is partnering with London’s The Path Entertainment Group and the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) Off-Center to launch the first US tour of Monopoly Lifesized: Travel Edition. Based on the toyco’s flagship board game, this 60-minute family-friendly experience challenges four teams of six to face off on a giant Monopoly board, rolling dice and competing in escape room-style challenges to buy up property and win the game. It will open at the DCPA’s 27,000-square-foot building in Denver’s Broadway Park on October 22, running until January 2025.
- DeAPlaneta Entertainment has sold three of its preschool series to Canal+ Poland. The deal includes a July renewal for Milo season one on the MiniMini linear channel. And then later this year, Milo season two (52 x 11 minutes), CG-animated pre-coding series Mia & Codie (40 x five minutes) and fantasy-comedy Nina & Olga (52 x seven minutes) will roll out on the broadcaster’s SVOD platform.
- Amazon’s Prime Video is adding anime streamer Crunchyroll to its SVOD service in India as a separate channel with more than 800 anime titles dubbed and subbed for the region, including new series Kaiju No. 8, Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc and My Hero Academia season seven. Prime Video has done similar regional deals with streamers like Anime Times and Animax in the past.
