Kids & family audiences in Japan will be getting a big dose of BBC Studios content soon, thanks to several new sales the UK distributor has brokered with Disney, NHK and Warner Bros. Discovery.

First up, Disney Junior has renewed season one and acquired season four of Studio AKA’s Hey Duggee, a nine-year-old 2D-animated series centering around a friendly dog who encourages his animal friends to try new things.

In the co-viewing cooking genre, Disney-owned Dlife is getting ready to serve up the third and fourth seasons of Junior Bake-Off, a competition series where young bakers vie for the title of Best Junior British Baker. The Japanese channel has also acquired season 13 of The Great British Bake-Off.

And WBD has picked up three dino-themed shows for Animal Planet—BBC Two’s Secrets of the Jurassic Dinosaurs (2 x 60 minutes), which follows natural history presenter Liz Bonnin and a team of paleontologists as they investigate a dinosaur graveyard in Wyoming; Dinosaur Apocalypse, a doc featuring paleontologist Robert DePalma that uses visual effects to recreate the prehistoric world; and BBC One’s Attenborough and the Jurassic Sea Monster (60 minutes), which has also been licensed by NHK.
