Miraculous Corp, a new joint-venture set up by Mediawan and ZAG last month, has recruited pedigreed kids brand-builder Andy Yeatman to lead the company.

Yeatman has officially joined as CEO of Miraculous Corp USA and global operations, with responsibility for overseeing US and international business operations, plus supporting the buildout of the lucrative Miraculous franchise. Based in LA, he reports to Miraculous Corp board chairman Pierre-Antoine Capton.

In his new role, Yeatman will work closely with Jeremy Zag, major shareholder and the director of last year’s Ladybug & Cat Noir: The Movie. A sequel called Miraculous: The Movie 2 is currently in the works, along with plans for TV movies, spinoff shows and new characters to expand the Miraculous universe.

With Mediawan and ZAG splitting ownership in the JV 60/40, Miraculous Corp consolidates the brand’s management and business under one roof. Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, the nine-year-old series that started the franchise, airs in 150 territories and has generated 37 billion views on YouTube. Last year’s feature earned US$44 million at the box office and racked up 35 million streaming views in its first month on Netflix.

Yeatman is coming off a six-year stint as managing director of the Americas for Moonbug Entertainment. He played a significant role in developing the company’s content partnerships and distribution business, expanding the reach of powerhouse brands like CoCoMelon beyond digital.

Prior to that, he worked at Netflix for seven years, starting in acquisitions and finishing his tenture as director of kids and family content. Yeatman’s resumé also includes almost five years at Disney, where he oversaw distribution strategy.
