Andy Yeatman is leaving Moonbug Entertainment later today after six years as managing director of the Americas, Courtney Holt, who joined the company in February as global head of music and strategic audio initiatives, has been chosen to take over his role.
Holt will now oversee Moonbug’s originals strategy, including the development, production and distribution of long-form TV series and films. Reporting to founder and CEO René Rechtman, he’ll also continue to oversee the company’s burgeoning music business. Holt’s resumé boasts stints as CEO of YouTube talent incubator Maker Studios, EVP of digital strategy for music and media at MTV Networks and head of studios and video at Spotify.
Yeatman was a director of kids and family content for Netflix before joining Moonbug in 2018, and he has played a pivotal role in driving the growth of brands including CoComelon and Blippi beyond digital. He already has a next gig lined up that will be announced shortly.
“Andy’s leadership was crucial to our growth in the Americas,” says Rechtman. “We’re grateful for his contributions and wish him the best in his next endeavor.”
