Location-based entertainment specialist RWS Global has tapped licensing veteran Veronica Hart to join its board of directors.

Hart will leverage more than 25 years of experience working in sales, operations and licensing for several media conglomerates to guide long-term growth strategy at RWS and offer insights for unlocking new revenue opportunities for the large-scale IPs it works with.

RWS has provided LBE services to Broadway musicals Life of Pi and Disney’s The Lion King; produced live shows for Crayola Experience and LEGOLAND New York; and created original musicals and concerts for Marella Cruises and MSC Cruises.

Beyond her new role at RWS, Hart is also vice chair of Licensing International’s board of directors, and she launched her own HARTstring Entertainment consulting firm two months ago. She is open to meeting with potential clients for all three companies at Licensing Expo this month.

Hart left Paramount last year after overseeing consumer products and retail accounts for Nickelodeon, Star Trek Studios and Showtime as EVP of global franchise planning and CP marketing for three years. She also previously held senior licensing positions at CBS (EVP of consumer products), Sesame Workshop (licensing director) and The Jim Henson Company (licensing manager).
