- French producer/distributor Dandelooo has picked up worldwide sales rights to a new CG-animated series called PongPong Dino (pictured, 52 x seven minutes) from South Korea’s Dream Factory Studio. This fun-with-food concept for two- to four-year-olds aims to make kids more open-minded about eating new things. Dandelooo will rep the series in all territories except China, South Korea and CIS.
- Netflix Australia/New Zealand has come back for more Hardball, acquiring season two of the tween comedy live-actioner to drop later this year. Produced by Northern Pictures and distributed by the Australian Children’s Television Foundation, this fish-out-of-water story is about a boy who moves from New Zealand to Western Australia and soon finds himself immersed in the ultra-competitive sporting world of handball.
- Cartoon Saloon’s brand development team has signed a new licensing deal with premium stationery supplier Paperblanks for a range of journals, bookmarks, canvas bags and puzzles based on its Irish folklore film trilogy (Wolfwalkers, Song of the Sea and The Secret of Kells).
