British toyco Toikido has inked a new deal with Cloudco Entertainment to create a Care Bears crossover event in its Piñata Smashlings Roblox game that will kick off September 15 and run for two months. 

Developer Supersocial is working on a new level called “Care Bears Adventure Island” that transforms Cloudco’s iconic bears into Smashling form. The crossover features a unique quest-based storyline in which the Smashlings and Care Bears team up to defeat the evil Bashlings and spread joy throughout the Piñataverse. And players will also be challenged to complete a range of Care Bears-themed minigames on the island in order to unlock new avatar accessories and collectible Care Bears Smashlings that can be used in the game. 

Toikido made a similar play last year when it teamed up with Chuck E. Cheese to roll out a branded play area and set of collectible characters in Piñata Smashlings. As part of this deal, Chuck E. Cheese then showcased video content from the game in its 5,000 family entertainment centers across the US. 

To date, Roblox users have played Piñata Smashlings more than 2.2 million times since it launched last June.
