The Wiggles have teamed up with singer/educator Ms. Rachel in a new 30-minute YouTube video that’s all about getting young kids ready for a soft-launch at school.
Preparing Toddlers for Preschool & Kindergarten, which dropped last Thursday as part of the Wiggle and Learn series, sees Ms. Rachel join the Wiggles in singing and dancing along to the “Baby Shark” viral earworm. This is the first time the popular preschool entertainers have teamed up, and the video has already raked in almost 200,000 views.
It’s really a match made in YouTube heaven: Ms. Rachel has 9.3 million subscribers, the Wiggles have 3.5 million, and Baby Shark is still the platform’s most-watched video by far, with 14 billion views.
The Wiggles have been making children’s songs and videos for more than three decades. By contrast, Ms. Rachel (real name Rachel Griffin-Accurso) started out on YouTube in 2019, but has built up a big audience quickly with her learn-to-talk, ASL and nursery rhyme videos for preschoolers. Last November, Spin Master took notice and signed on as Ms. Rachel’s master toy partner. The toyco is manufacturing a range of plush, puzzles and playsets inspired by her brand that will roll out worldwide this fall.
