Mattel has brought back former VP of sales Brian Fitzharris as the new GM and SVP of its iconic Fisher-Price preschool toy brand.
Fitzharris has spent the last six months overseeing global sales and marketing at Wisconsin-based PlayMonster as chief commercial officer. He will rejoin Mattel next week and is in the process of moving back to Buffalo to oversee Mattel and Fisher-Price’s East Aurora campus.
Reporting to Mattel’s EVP and chief brand officer Lisa McKnight, Fitzharris will spearhead Fisher-Price’s product development in the infant and toddler categories and oversee global retail launches. The FP licensed portfolio includes Batwheels transforming RC vehicles, Jurassic World dinosaur figures and Trolls-branded playsets.
Fitzharris is no stranger to Mattel’s product pipeline. He previously worked at the toyco for 17 years in a range of leadership positions including senior director of global marketing for Barbie dolls (2014 to 2017) and VP of sales/head of the Walmart & Sam’s Club account (2019 to 2023).
